Return Policy

Order Confirmation and Payment

Customers will receive an order confirmation via email, on all submitted orders. It is the customer’s responsibility to review the order for accuracy and report any discrepancies in the product itself, quantity, color, size, delivery information, etc. Any inaccurate information must be reported within 48 hours of order placement.

Chic and Antique offers a 50% deposit for orders over $1,000 to begin production. The remaining 50% is due prior to delivery. Orders less than $1,000 must be paid in full at the time the order is placed. Chic and Antique accepts cash, check and all major credit cards. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Please be sure to contact us directly regarding any pricing questions or concerns.

Turn Around Time

Our average production time for custom orders is 4 – 8 weeks. This can vary depending on the time of year, so please be sure to confirm with us if you are looking for a specific turn around date. We will do our best to accommodate you! Please keep in mind that this production time does not include delivery time.

Order Modifications and Cancellations

Once your order payment has been received, you may cancel or adjust the original order within 96 hours without incurring additional charges. In most cases, your build to order furniture will be in our production process after the 96 hour grace period.

Return & Exchange Policy: Custom Orders or Made to Order Products

Our custom order and made to order programs allow you to specify the exact size and specifications you desire. We work with you individually on each order to ensure that we achieve your vision. We understand that buying custom furniture is a big decision and we work with every customer to set clear expectations of quality, wood character, color, and delivery timing prior to processing your order. At a minimum, a verbal approval and payment are required before we begin any custom work. Upon receipt of your payment, we will begin your custom project. Your project’s delivery date will be finalized once payment is received. Your completed project will be delivered once all balances are paid in full, no exceptions. Custom orders are non-refundable following the 96 hour grace period from the time that payment is received. Due to each piece being made specifically to the customer’s preferences, all sales are final on custom orders and made to order products.

Return & Exchange Policy: In Stock Products (Retail Store Sales)

If within the first 14 days after receiving any standard product you do not remain completely satisfied with your purchase, we will provide you with an exchange or refund for the price of your piece with a valid receipt. The product must be in good condition. This policy excludes custom furniture purchases, which are non-returnable. Items purchased on sale are also non-returnable.

Warranty

We want you to be completely happy with your new furniture and we stand behind our products. Each Chic and Antique piece is handcrafted to the highest standards of care and commitment to quality. If you are displeased with a product you have received we will work with you to resolve the issue, however, many characteristics of natural wood are subjective. Should our furniture fail because of workmanship or a failure of the wood materials, we will either repair or replace it. Some customer requested wood species, finishes, and modifications are excluded. Repair or refund is at the sole discretion of Chic and Antique.

Measurements

All measurements presented on this website and contained within your order details are estimations only. Wood is a natural material that will expand and contract during the cycle of a calendar year. Changes in humidity and prolonged exposure to sun, water, and air will affect natural wood products. In addition, Chic and Antique routinely work with unique and limited supply materials that may not match specifications presented on the website or in your order details. Actual furniture dimension may vary within a ½ inch length and width and ¼ inch in thickness. If measurements are needed to be “exact” in nature please specify in writing within 96 hours of placing your order.

Characteristics of wood

Every piece of furniture we produce is individual and unique. We use a variety of new woods as well as reclaimed materials that may be several hundreds of years old. Our reclaimed materials inherently have more idiosyncrasies and are more subjective to the individuals’ eye. Part of what makes our furniture unique is that no two pieces are identical in nature. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that any two pieces will look identical. This applies to individual pieces of wood, knots, wood/stain colors, “character marks” such as nail holes, scratches, and open cracks, etc. Our furniture is non-returnable due to wood movement, knots, nail holes, open cracks, dimensional qualities, and other natural features of solid wood construction.

Color, Stains, and Matching

At Chic and Antique, we offer the ability to choose exactly what you desire for color, stains, and finishes. Under our custom finish program, we cannot guarantee that every board or square inch of your furniture will match an approved sample exactly. Wood is a natural material that varies in grain pattern, color, and texture from inch to inch. We offer no guarantees for color matching and our furniture is nonreturnable due to color, stain, paint, and matching issues.

Samples

Samples are intended for grain, texture, and color approximations. Wood is a natural material and can vary significantly from board to board. Chic and Antique makes no guarantees that our samples fully represents the variation expected across the species chosen. Our products are non-returnable due to variation between samples and final products.
